  Myself and my girlfriend had a valentines day date here and this was the worst experience that we have ever had at an "upscale italian" restaurant. ill start off by saying that when we first arrived at the restaurant there was no one to greet us or take us to our table. So then we noticed a table of 3 gentlemen sitting to the left of the entranced and it seemed to us that they were the owners/supervisors so we asked them if they knew where the waitresses or anyone was. One of the gentlemen just responded and said someone will come and he continued with his conversation. Also the restaurant was empty except for the gentlemen and one couple and no staff anywhere. A few minutes after a lady dressed in a chefs outfit and apron came to us and just said "how many" no greeting or anything. I then responded and said can we get a table for 2 please. We then began to start odering food. The food was very low quality, the pasta tastes like chef boyardee and that might even be an insult to chef boyardee. Also there was a HAIR in the pasta!!! And they had to remake my steak twice which had ZERO flavour it seems as if they dont know how to cook steak. I then realized that the gentlemen that we spoke to in the begining were the owners/supervisors. So i signaled one of them to come to our table and he saw me and ignored me ! So then the same lady dressed in the chef outfit came back to the table (she was also the waitress) and i told her about the hair and how we were unhappy with the food and service and she began to argue with us and raise her voice to us saying that "we're just trying to get free food" at this point i had enough and i just asked for the bill (i cant believe i actually paid the bill at this place) i then paid the bill and then the same chef lady started to argue with us and fight us again about why we didnt tip her and i told her the service is terrible and the food sucks. ALSO THE ONLY OTHER COUPLE IN THE RESTAURANT WALKED OUT AND LEFT THEIR FOOD. *DONT GO TO THIS RESTAURANT SAVE YOUR MONEY AND GO TO BUCCATINI WINE BAR OR CIBO WINE BAR OR GRANO THOSE PLACES ARE REAL AUTHENTIC FINE ITALIAN DINING* I WISH I COULD GIVE THIS PLACE -5 STARS BECAUSE MCDONALDS HAS BETTER SERVICE.

  I had an absolutely AMAZING EXPERIENCE at Il Tartufo Restaurant!! The food is cooked to perfection with excellence in every dish ordered! Not only is the food really great! it's priced fairly as well. The service is super warm and personable with a smile! If you like authentic Italian cuisine and very fine wine with an exquisite atmosphere - this is the place to go! Really, I would recommend this restaurant to anyone!!

  My family and I frequent Il Tartufo on a regular basis. The food is fantastic and the wine list exemplary. Having frequented the restaurant so often we have gotten to know the owners and they take great care to ensure a pleasant dining experience. The grilled calamari appetizer and gnocchi entree are top notch. So much so I frequent it with out of town clients for lunch and dinner often.
